Also RSU has more than 15 international student organisations. RSU’s teaching staff are professionals in their areas of expertise and are opinion leaders in society. RSU mission is to train highly qualified experts in the fields of healthcare and social sciences, so that they can serve the society of Latvia, the European Union, as well as the world. Founded in 1967, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) maintains a reputation for high quality teaching, research and a focus on internationalization. It has several campuses and a student body of nearly 12,000 students. Since its foundation, UCP has made pioneering developments, notably by developing areas of knowledge not previously taught Portugal, such as value-based PH.

The UCP Institute of Health Sciences (UCP-IHS) was created in 2004 and integrates educational programs, scientific research and health care services. UCP-IHS offers PH courses at BA, MA, PhD, and postgraduate levels in such disciplines as: global health systems, nursing, palliative care, biomedicine, and clinical linguistics. Every year UCP-HIS averages 2000 full-time students in all degree levels together. An important component of the UCP-IHS research is an initiative “Creating Health Research and Innovation Funding” (CHRIF). It was created to attract funding for health research and innovation and to provide a non-profit service, specialized in health research.

UCP delivers a significant number of courses using distance learning and has a renowned program in Health Technologies that focuses on the use of telecommunications in medical services. In due recognition of IHS’s work, the University is an acknowledged member of ASPHER. UCP-IHS is establishing a new health campus and medical school in Cascais, Portugal. This school will offer an associated medical degree under a partnership with Maastricht University. The course will be taught in English using the Maastricht Problem-based/Active Student learning system. There are also numerous PH projects contributing towards the internationalization of UCP-HIS: 1) partnership with McGill University for the study of gambling and mental health, 2) partner with UNESCO in the field of Health Literacy, 3) a project with a number of EU schools on the development of a European wide digital policy dashboard in the field of Hepatitis C, 4) Participating member of the first national MPH program in Ukraine in a consortium led by the Ukrainian Catholic University.

The following Health Sciences departments would be directly involved in the project: Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (DISFARM), Department of Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences (DisFeB), Department of Oncology and Hemato-oncology (DIPO).

DISFARM promote interdisciplinary teaching activities in the framework of pharmaceutical sciences. With the purpose of training young researchers, the Department hosts the PhD course in Pharmaceutical Sciences as well as the specialization school in “Hospital Pharmacy”, an interuniversity master and three post-graduate programs. Those activities are integrated with active research and expertise in Pharmaceutical Law and Regulatory Affairs.

DiSFeB supports and coordinate basic research applied to biomedical and life sciences thus ensuring an excellent pre- and post-degree teaching. DiSFeB coordinates the Doctoral Programme of “Pharmacological Biomolecular Science, experimental and clinical”, supports Master courses in “Pharmacy and Oncological Pharmacology” and “Pharmacovigilance”, and the Course in “Nutrition and Well-being”. DisFeb has been awarded in 2018 as “Department of Excellence” by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research. 

DIPO is the Italian excellence oncology centre in Italy, created as multidisciplinary network of institutes in 2015. DIPO offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs aimed to create multidisciplinary experts in oncology and Hemato-oncology.

The Department of Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication promotes the investigation of the multifarious aspects of the contemporary world. The analysis of interlinguistic and intercultural issues and of the complex knowledge contexts in which they are grounded is pursued through inter- and multi-disciplinary approaches applied to a variety of disciplinary domains.

Voluntary Health Association of Tripura (VHAT) was formed in 1988 as a state level network NGOs and community based Organizations (CBOs) by health and science activists with the aim to promote the health, elementary education & environment through policy level advocacy and conceptual level intervention by capacity building. It got the registration under Societies Registration Act 1860 on 12th December, 1988. Voluntary Health Association of India, New Delhi, was one of the main inspirer to form this organization as state federation of Voluntary Health Association of India for the state of Tripura. As the state level network of the NGOs and CBOs, building the capacity of the member organizations is one of the prime activities of VHAT. It has 29 years long experiences of organizing awareness generation activities through training, rally, publication and dissemination of book, booklets, posters and other materials.

Vision: Creating excellence in Health and Socio Economic Development for the people of Tripura, federal state in the north-east India.

Our mission is to:
– Build capacity of Civil Society Organizations through trainings and IEC.
– Promote social justice, equity and rights in the context of accessibility of health services with emphasis on under-privileged sections.
