The official launch of the 4 Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) took place in online mode on 14th July, 2022. All the courses are freely accessible with certification designed with an aim to create awareness about the global issue of Antibiotic Resistance among different target audiences such as students, staff, healthcare professionals, NGOs etc. These courses were created as part of the Erasmus plus funded project – PREVENT IT project funded by the European Union. The session began with a brief overview about the problem and how the PREVENT IT project is acting as a big player in creating awareness on the same. Following this, Dr. Dona Boban, the researcher involved in the preparation of the MOOCs shared her experience about the challenges faced and lessons learned. The next session focussed on sharing the details of the MOOCs developed, timelines, content and learning outcome/s. The information was shared by four representatives from project partner universities viz. Dr. Himanshu Sekhar Pradhan, Dr. Sunil Saroj, Dr. Prakash Narayanan and Dr. Sanjeev K Singh. In the end, the official launch was conducted by Dr. Danille Verstegen from University of Maastricht followed by vote of thanks by Ms. Varnika, project manager. In total, 100+ students actively participated in the online event.
